▷ Latest green technologies for carbon neutrality and climate crisis response showcased in one place at COEX from June 11 to 13
The Ministry of Environment (Minister Kim Wansup) and the Korea Environmental Conservation Institute (Director Shin Jin-soo) will hold the 46th International Exhibition on Environmental Technology and Green Energy (ENVEX 2025), the largest environmental exhibition in Korea, at COEX (located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul) from June 11 to 13 to facilitate the exchange of excellent green technologies of small and medium-sized green enterprises and support their development of domestic and overseas markets.
※ ENVEX (Environmental Exhibition) 2025: Launched in 1979, marking its 46th edition this year, it is the longest-running specialized exhibition among environmental industry technology exhibitions in Korea.
‘ENVEX 2025’ will feature participation from 262 companies across 13 countries, with a total of 626 exhibition booths, and is expected to attract approximately 45,000 visitors. The exhibition will showcase a variety of promising green technologies that contribute to climate crisis response and carbon neutrality, including carbon capture, utilization and storage technology (CCUS membranes), energy-saving water treatment devices, and air pollutant reduction technologies. In particular, the focus will be on technologies with high potential for industrial application, especially those developed by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with strong technical completeness and practicality.
In addition, cooperation with related organizations will be strengthened to help SMEs expand into overseas markets. ‘Global Green Hub Korea 2025,’ jointly organized by the Ministry of Environment, the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI), the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), will be held concurrently, offering a practical opportunity to enhance the potential for domestic green companies to enter global markets.
In addition, this year, a variety of customized associated programs will be operated during the exhibition period to promote tangible outcomes in the areas of technology, exports, and investment.
Notably, on-site consultations will be held between purchasing managers from public institutions and 70 small green enterprises. These public institutions include affiliated organizations under the Ministry of Environment, such as the Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water) and the Korea Environment Corporation, and local government agencies in the Seoul and Gyeonggi regions. In addition, a variety of practical and impactful side events will be held in conjunction with the exhibition, including: consultations for Business-to-Government (B2G) projects to support entry into environmental markets in developing countries, intellectual property consultations provided by the Korean Intellectual Property Office for small environmental enterprises, and investment consultations inviting venture capitalists (VCs) to facilitate technology and business exchanges between promising SMEs with environmental and carbon-neutral technologies and investors.
In addition, promotional support will be strengthened for green-certified companies, new environmental technology-certified companies, and startup (venture) companies through the production of online sales introduction videos, and the technologies and products of participating companies will continue to be promoted throughout the year even after the exhibition.
Ahn Se-chang, Deputy Minister of the Climate Change and Carbon Neutral Policy Office at the Ministry of Environment, stated, “We hope this exhibition will serve as an opportunity for the excellent technologies and innovative products of our small green enterprises to become widely known in domestic and international markets, and to lead to tangible outcomes such as actual exports.” He added, “We will continue to actively support the commercialization and market expansion of green technologies, and further develop the exhibition into a company-centered program that provides practical support.”
